Safeguarding

Givli is built for families and children, so safety and privacy come first.

Our commitment

Givli is used on children's uniform, kit, bottles and bags. We design the service so that children can never be identified or contacted by a stranger through a label.

No personal details on labels

Labels do not display a child's name, address, phone number, or school. A label only contains a QR code that links to our secure found-item system.

We recommend parents use a first name or nickname only in any custom message, and never include a home address or phone number.

Anonymous contact

When someone scans a label to report a found item, they never see the owner's contact details. We pass their message to the parent or guardian, who decides whether and how to respond. This keeps both the finder and the family anonymous by default.

Accounts are for adults

Givli accounts are intended to be created and managed by a parent, guardian, or an adult representative of a school or club. Children should not create accounts or manage labels themselves.

Working with schools and clubs

When we work with schools and clubs, all fundraising and reporting is handled through adult administrators. We do not share individual children's data with organisations.

Reporting a concern

If you have any safeguarding concern about how the service is being used, please contact us immediately at safeguarding@givli.club and we will investigate promptly.

If a child is in immediate danger, always contact your local emergency services first.
